i'd love to tell you about myself and this life that i love so much!

at the age of 36, i quit my full time job with the help of my supportive husband & began my cosmetology journey at summit salon academy in anderson, indiana.  

 

friends, i am here to tell you that you are NEVER too old and it's NEVER too late.  take your dreams seriously!  

 

i live in fortville, indiana with my husband, chris and our two fur boys, ruxpin & waffles.  i adore my little family.   i love fall weather, making people laugh, basically anything disney, collecting tattoos, dogs & talking about dogs, singing, trying new things and having a good, engaging conversation.

i work at the beautiful and modern, salon twelve:seven in the historic downtown district of anderson, indiana.  let me tell you, i'm really lucky to have been brought into the salon 12:7 family.  i get to work with my best friends/chosen family.  i've also been able to learn from so many of the stylists i work with.  we all support each other and want to see each one of us succeed.  you can truly feel the love in the air.

while behind the chair, i specialize in vibrant reds & coppers.  ginger babes are my jam!  don't get me wrong, i also love doing other colors but red heads are the way to my heart. i love a rich brunette and i always look forward to doing vivid & fashion colors.  so fun!  when it comes to haircuts, i really enjoy clipper cuts as well as, edgy and fun cuts.  but my all time favorite cut? a lob or bob.  its classic with a built in style that works for just about anyone! 

 

one of the main reasons i love this industry so much is because it is always changing, which means, new things to learn!  i love continuing my education whether it be attending online classes or traveling with my salon girls for some in person education.  i want to provide my clients with the most up to date techniques!

 

as i said on my home page, it's so much more than just about the hair for me. i want to get to know YOU.  i want you to leave my chair feeling a little more like yourself than you did when you walked in.  i want to help you live your best [hair] life!

 

more than anything, i want to provide a non-judgmental, fun and loving environment for all of my clients.  my chair is a safe space! i am an ally; love is love!  i also believe that hair has no gender so my services reflect gender equality pricing.

in providing a safe space, i will always take my clients' physical health & safety very seriously.  not only do i follow industry standards of cleanliness, i also continue to follow covid 19 guidelines and have been fully vaccinated.
